Identify yourself!

So my wallet was stolen....I was at Peet's coffee shop in the south loop having coffee, well tea actually with a former co-worker,  and someone stole my wallet.

Chase alerted me as this asshole tried all my cards at Venta to load up their tramsit cards.

I filed a police report, etc,  reported everything, got a new drivers liscense and licked my wounds and moved on.

Well, this asshole managed to go and pose as me (im assuming at this point, the original thief sold or ditched my wallet so now it has moved on to asshome #2) and went into the bank 2 days ago and cleaned out my bank savings account.

They went through a drive through teller in a suburb I dont even know, and managed to forge my signature and everything.

Wtf. I cant even sleep anymore and it has nothing to do with Charley. Its this bitch that has my ID.  She is an evil horrible person and I feel terrorized by it.  And the bank teller is either working with her or is a totaly idiot. Sigh.

Grateful Dead show! Thanks to Jeff, who invited me in a private box no less!

I have always loved loved loved the Grateful Dead, and I was DYING to go to the show.  Long story short, I never got tickets, they were totally sold out and so expensive.  Mary-Frances's husband tutors for a lot of wealthy families and one mom invited him to attend and gave him two tickets:  Mary-Frances told him to invite me.  WOW what a night. It was totally different then 20 years ago when I was seeing the Dead. It was strange to not be with the people, and to be the MOST excited person of the 20 people in the suite but I had a great time.  It was so awesome to be there.

Joe Maddon - Manager of the Chicago Cubs was in the box next to us!

Me stalking Joe Maddon.

A Dessert cart came around and I HAD to get this cookie!

Inside the box seats.  Free food and booze too. I did not fit in very well, but everyone was so nice.

In the box seat entrance. It was really cool. I felt like I stood out like a sore thumb though.

Party bus from Oak Brook to Soldier Field.  I was definitely out of my element with all these folks.

Charley at the Beach

Charley had her first trip to the beach in Beverly Shores, Indiana on June 20th!  Her first sleepover, too - we were at Lex's dad's house.

Look at those little pink feet sticking out!

Olive LOVES rolling over and over in the sand!

Lenny and Olive had a great time, too!  I haven't seen them that happy - well - ever!

City dogs need to be reminded to take their flea and tick medication. We found one on Olive a week later, and I found a HUGE tick on her just 2 days ago!  Whoops!

Its been almost a year since my last post!

And I have a baby!  I think I was so overwhelmed on August 17, 2014 when I found out I was pregnant, that I kind of abandoned my usual things which involve this blog.  But because of Colleen Holland and her awesome blog about her new adventure teaching in China, I am inspired.

So hey readers, meet Charley Nettie.  She's pretty awesome.  She was born on May 1, 2015 is now two months old, and Bill and I are learning the ropes. I am so lucky, she is such a great baby. Yesterday she slept from 8:30 - 12:30, (she went 6 hours since I fed her too which is nuts), then from 1:00 - 3:45, then 4:00 - 7am. Pretty easy breezy.

I love co-sleeping with her, but I only do it after her last feeding b/c I'm scared I will roll over on her or that she will suffocate or something.  Other crazy fears: Forgetting her in the car, forgetting her in the shopping cart, etc. I'm scared I will hit her head on a door frame, spill a hot liquid on her, drop her, that she will fall off something, fall off the changing table, etc.  She had a dr appointment today, and I'm scared they gave her the wrong vaccines.  We're following the Dr. Sears Alternate Vaccine Schedule,  and the nurse sounded confused.  So now I'm scared.  Its all those things.

I started back at work yesterday after having 8 weeks off.  Its hard. I didn't think I would feel the feelings I feel but I do. I can't believe how much I love her and miss her and she is just the best.

Some Pictures of Pitchfork and nachos!

BLOG! I have neglected you so so so so so much!

WOW!  I blame my lack of writing on a few things:  my nerd books on my Kindle, Candy Crush Saga and Cookie Jam.  Totally honest, I find myself with these three things occupying my time more then anything else in the world.  I have a lot to talk about, I don't think I have posted since March!
Well, the semester ended and so did the Industry Event Series. I worked a ton of overtime but thankfully that is over, and we will hopefully start instituting new things with that programming.

May was a fast month, I had a birthday party for Bill at Lex's house, which was ok.  Oh, I had my birthday in April but it seemed like no one could make it, and I didn't want to do anything in the first place.  Oh well.

Summer - I over planted once again.  Lots of veggies that are kind of not growing because it hasn't been hot enough.  Its a bummer.

I ran my first 5K - that was hard and I need to start running again.  We're dog sitting for Albus for 10 days. I'm nervous. Really nervous.  I hope it goes well.
                                                           Lenny, Olive and Albus!

I'm super excited because my near and dear friend David is in town!!!!!  I can't wait to see him!  That's all for now, Cookie Jam is calling my name.

Milwaukee here I come. For a change of scenery and more snow.

I am going through rough times and desperately needes a trip out of town. I took a day trip with Rachel and James and it was great.  Something when life, and weather gets you down, a trip out of town and just new experiences are vital to keeping mental stability.  First was a trip to Wisconsin Cheese Mart and beer shop.  Holy amazing balls.

So Much CHEESE!

The cheese, the beer, the pretzels were amazing.  I highly highly recommend to anyone visiting Milwaukee to totally check this place out!  For three of us, it was $60.  Yep - $60.

Then we made it to the original Spice House, I frequent the one in Geneva, but this was great too.  I bought a lot of spices.  Moving onto the Public Market which was super impressive, and ending our day a the Foundation Room.

Great trip, great times!!  Much needed!
