And I have a baby! I think I was so overwhelmed on August 17, 2014 when I found out I was pregnant, that I kind of abandoned my usual things which involve this blog. But because of Colleen Holland and her awesome blog about her new adventure teaching in China, I am inspired.
So hey readers, meet Charley Nettie. She's pretty awesome. She was born on May 1, 2015 is now two months old, and Bill and I are learning the ropes. I am so lucky, she is such a great baby. Yesterday she slept from 8:30 - 12:30, (she went 6 hours since I fed her too which is nuts), then from 1:00 - 3:45, then 4:00 - 7am. Pretty easy breezy.
I love co-sleeping with her, but I only do it after her last feeding b/c I'm scared I will roll over on her or that she will suffocate or something. Other crazy fears: Forgetting her in the car, forgetting her in the shopping cart, etc. I'm scared I will hit her head on a door frame, spill a hot liquid on her, drop her, that she will fall off something, fall off the changing table, etc. She had a dr appointment today, and I'm scared they gave her the wrong vaccines. We're following the Dr. Sears Alternate Vaccine Schedule, and the nurse sounded confused. So now I'm scared. Its all those things.
I started back at work yesterday after having 8 weeks off. Its hard. I didn't think I would feel the feelings I feel but I do. I can't believe how much I love her and miss her and she is just the best.
An exploration through my 30's. Getting on in life, love, friends, career, family and fun.

Spring has come and gone!
Two months since my last post. What is wrong with me? I love blogging, I guess I have been too busy lately. Thats a bummer. In summary: I quit Women In Film, I joined a Book Club. 860th attempt to quit smoking starting tomorrow. Ugh I'm too old, fat and out of shape.
In other news, Industry Events came and went and took up all of our Spring semester - however they were pretty good, still lots of room for improvement, but that's what the next year is for.
The past two months in picutres: not all pictures though since my phone was stolen, but what I have!

Summer, oh summer.
I feel like at least 60% of this blog is about how slowly or quickly life is moving by. Its pretty lame. So I'm just going to enjoy the 100 degree days we have had, hide my sadness of summer being half over (ahem) and be looking forward to everything else.
Coming up: Mackie, Amy, Mom, Dad, Joshie and Sammie and heading to Milwaukee on Friday for an old fashion Ford Family trip! It should be super awesome, I'm stoked. We're going to the Sprecher Brewery for a tour, then to Art Smart's Dart Mart Juggling Emporium, not because I juggle but because its rad, then to Maders Restaurant for lunch. Then on Sunday Mackie, Mary-Frances and I are taking our first ever girls trip! We're going to to Wisconsin, and heading to Lake Lawn in Delevan, WI.
I wish Bill and I could afford to go somewhere this year, but once again its out of the question. It sucks.
Anyway, here are some thing that have happened this summer, all in photos, of course.
My CSA from Angelic Organics - Yum!
Some crazy chick on the back of a motorcycle on the Kennedy - WTF!
BINGO with my neighbor friends - super fun!
Lenny and Olive, cute as can be!
Grilling with my neighbor Kyle - July 3rd 2012
The loves of my life - my gorgeous, happy and healthy tomato plants!
The most awesome pretzel ever at Genes Sausage Shop in Lincoln Square!
Cute Face Lenny Alevizos!
My first encounter with fancy ass doughnuts from Do Rite Donuts.
Lex - looking dapper.
Bill at Pitchfork.
The good old Roseanne Family.
Planning meeting for Women In Film - the events I'm planning.

Thanksgiving week
Where, oh where has my time gone?
How is it already Thanksgiving? I look back to an early blog, in which I complain about having to decorate the front my my parents house the day after Thanksgiving as it is a tradition I do so every year. What is different about this year is that my dad, really for once needs the help. The treatments have been going well - 2 down, 6 to go - but he's so tired, and easily irritable.
This year we are going to get the tree early, so Bill on Thanksgiving can help us mount it in the front. It's a crap ton of work, so it will be nice to have his help!
Anyway, Halloween happened - here are some pictures. As per usual, wen to John & Kadima's and it was really fun.
And with Rachel back, I have been doing lots of baking, too!
And with Denise & Colleen, we have attempted planking.
